What is the Senate anyway?
The Federal Parliament is the Government over all of Australia. The Parliament is made up of 2 parts - House of Representatives (also called the Lower House) which is made up of representatives from the local areas. The Senate (also called the Upper House) is made up of 12 people who represent the entire state (ie SA).
