When half a dozen children are adopted out in a year for a population of more than a million, there is something askew.
Adoption is beneficial for both caring, childless parents, a mother who may not be ready for a baby and most importantly the new little person.
I would like to see an investigation on restrictions in the system that are inhibiting these beneficial connections, and ways they can be removed.
